Project Overview
The Brooklyn Arts Council knew they needed a fresh face for the Bushwick Block Party after the annual event was cancelled twice due to the pandemic. The design project started as a flyer, but the combination of graphic elements, color, and typeface selection continued to define the event's visual language used in all audience touchpoints.
Contributions
Simone designed an identity, with simple shapes and bold type, that seamlessly applies to the digital and print media that is essential for an arts festival. The bold color selection was specifically tailored towards the target audience's desire to attend events where they can expect the unexpected.
